Cargostore Worldwide Expands Its Global Operations Team as Part of Continued Growth Strategy

As we lay the foundations for the next stage of our development here at Cargostore Worldwide, we are delighted to announce the expansion of our operations management team.

Andrew Moll who has been Cargostore’s Global Operations Manager since 2023, steps into the new role of Chief Operations Officer, responsible for supporting the expansion of our business across key global markets in addition to increasing our international footprint, reflecting increasing demand for our range of specialist containerised solutions.

And as Andrew moves into his new role, replacing him as Global Operations Manager is Grace Hope, who has been an integral part of our European operations team over the past seven years.

We speak to Andrew and Grace as they share a little more about their own Cargostore Worldwide journeys to date whilst looking ahead to their new roles.

“It’s a really exciting time at Cargostore Worldwide and I am delighted to be taking up the new challenge of COO,” says Andrew.

“With expanding interest in our products and services across the board globally, the new COO role not only reflects how we have grown as an organisation over the last 3 years, but how important ‘strategic growth’ is to us.

“When I came in as Global Operations Manager, a lot of the initial work involved overseeing and guiding the Ops team as well as helping build the strategic side of our operations whilst feeding into new product development also.

“It became a very broad role and as the business has grown it made sense to create the new Chief Operations Officer position. As part of planning this, we identified Grace as being a great fit to take on the Global Operations Manager role given her experience and time spent within the business.

“Practically, what this means is I am able focus more on the strategic development and planning side of the business, looking at new product opportunities, new entities in the business and our strategic global footprint,” said Andrew.

For Grace, stepping into the role of Global Operations Manager is a culmination of 7 years hard work, which started off in slightly more unusual circumstances, having arrived in the UK from Australia in early 2020.

“I initially joined Cargostore Worldwide as a member of the European operations team, having just moved from Australia at the start of 2020. It was a bit of a strange arrival for me as within 2 weeks we went into the first Covid lockdown,” said Grace.

“So, for the first few months I had to learn the role and get to know the team remotely. Since that time, I have gone on to take up a managerial supervisory role within the operations team, broadening my experience and managing the team across wider geographical regions.

“It feels like I have some big shoes to fill taking over from Andrew, but I am excited and looking forward to the opportunities that this role offers me. And with Andrew remaining as part of the operations team in a more strategic role, we will be working together to support the business moving forward.

“In terms of my responsibilities, I will be overseeing the Ops team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that after an order comes in, we get equipment out on hire as quickly and efficiently as possible, ensuring the clients’ needs are met not only from an order and delivery perspective but in terms of servicing, ongoing customer management and invoicing. Alongside this we are responsible for ensuring maintenance, repair and collection of our containers where that is needed. It’s all about creating great customer service really,” added Grace.

Growing the operations team is an integral part of our ongoing development at what is a time of growing market opportunities and increasing demand for our range of containerised solutions, as Andrew comments.

“We are seeing huge demand across Europe and Africa for our specialist solutions, where we have been supporting major offshore and onshore projects. Relative to our fleet size we are building a lot of new containers and, because of our agility, have the flexibility to build features into the new products to meet our customers needs. This gives us an added advantage over our competitors.

One of our key goals is to increase our physical footprint by opening new sites, enabling us to be even more agile in meeting needs on the ground in these strategic locations.

“We are also experiencing significant growth in the offshore oil and gas and renewables sector, especially in Europe, with Poland, France, Denmark and Belgium in particular investing heavily in large-scale projects and we are positioning ourselves accordingly, so it is an exciting time and one that needs careful planning.

“One of our key differentiators is that we are more flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the market compared to larger players in recent years. So, as we capitalize on our growth opportunities, we must ensure those differentiators, aligned with our absolute focus on customer service, remain woven into the core of the business,” said Andrew.

Ensuring that the operations team can meet that growing demand is an essential part of this latest growth development within Cargostore Worldwide.

“We have an enthusiastic and dedicated team who really embrace our ethos of putting our customers at the heart of the business, and that will remain a focus as we continue to grow,” added Grace.
