Cargostore Support the Red Devils, and Utilise their Sponsorship to Support Charities
Who are the Red Devils?
Cargostore are a proud supporter of the British Armed Forces, and a sponsor to the Red Devils Army Parachute Display Team. The Red Devils are the official display team for the British Armed Forces, and earlier this year we supplied them with a set of Phoenix Fly wing-suits and tracking-suits for them to use in their spectacular displays at public events globally.
We wanted to utilise our sponsorship further, and to go the extra mile in supporting various charitable organisations. This led us to the idea of purchasing tandem skydive tickets with the Red Devils, to give to various charities and provide them with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fundraising.
Case 2 – Alan Jordan Jumps for Shooting Star Children’s Hospice
Earlier this year Alan visited the Red Devils in Hinton to present them with three Phoenix Fly Suits, which the team will use to perform aerobatic jumps in. They kindly offered Alan the opportunity to take part in a tandem skydive and he jumped (no pun intended) at the chance to raise money for a great cause whilst completing a once in a lifetime experience.
“I was nervous at first to accept the challenge, but I know I couldn’t be in safer hands than the Red Devils. I’m sure I’ll be very excited on the day… and happy for having done it once it’s over. I’m proud to work for an organisation that goes out of its way to support the armed forces and raise money for charity, even if it means jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet!”
Anne Carey, Head of Corporate Engagement at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said, “We’re delighted that Alan and Cargostore have decided to support us by taking on this tremendous challenge which really reaches new heights of fundraising! Shooting Star Children’s Hospices supports babies, children and young children with life-limiting conditions and their families across London and Surrey. As a charity we need to raise £10 million a year to provide this much needed care service, so we rely on the support from companies like Cargostore to help make every moment count for families faced with the unimaginable.”
