ADNOC Now Requires DNV 2.7-1 Offshore Containers (CCU’s) and Slings with Steel Ferrules
ADIPEC has become one of the busiest conferences of the year for our Offshore Team, and 2019 elevated this to new heights. Over the course of the exhibition our team met with clients, created hundreds of new contacts and learned about the ever changing climate of the Middle East Oil and Gas Industry.
One of the biggest talking points was the new safety regulations required by ADNOC.
ADNOC now requires all offshore projects to use DNV 2.7-1 certified offshore containers, meaning the vast amounts of converted ISO ‘hybrid units’ still utilised in the region are unsafe for use. As well as the offshore containers, all slings must have steel ferrules, as opposed to aluminium. Cargostore’s range of offshore containers and slings in depots across the Middle East are DNV 2.7-1 certified and ADNOC compliant.
Once again we applaud ADIPEC for their meticulous organisation and we would like to thank the EIC for the opportunity to exhibit and showcase our DNV 2.7-1 toolbox in their area, read more about the toolbox below.
